There’s a ton of stuff to cover from some of the emails I’ve been getting from Paramount. I’m interested in what Paramount’s got set for us, so let’s dive right into what we might be heading to the theater to see between now and 2019.
Nobody’s Fool–Nov. 2, 2018
Tiffany Haddish, Tika Sumpter and Whoopi Goldberg are starring in Tyler Perry’s latest film, Nobody’s Fool. Haddish plays a woman who got her kicks as a younger person, but is now looking to become more mature. Per the official description:
Trying to get back on her feet, wild child Tanya (Tiffany Haddish) looks to her buttoned-up, by the book sister Danica (Tika Sumpter) to help her get back on track. As these polar opposites collide — with hilarious and sometimes disastrous results — Tanya discovers that Danica’s picture-perfect life — including her mysterious boyfriend — may not be what it seems.
Nobody’s Fool also stars Whoopi Goldberg, Mehcad Brooks, Amber Riley and Omari Hardwick.
What Men Want–Jan. 11, 2019
Taraji P. Henson stars in this remake of the ’90s Mel Gibson film as a woman who gets hit on the head after magical, mystical incident, gaining the blessing (or curse) to hear men’s thoughts. The official description:
Ali Davis (Taraji P. Henson) is a successful sports agent who’s constantly boxed out by her male colleagues. When Ali is passed up for a well-deserved promotion, she questions what else she needs to do to succeed in a man’s world… until she gains the ability to hear men’s thoughts! Taron Egerton transforms into a younger Elton John in the biopic Rocketman. The Dexter Fletcher-directed film promises an untarnished look at the singer’s life.
