As I wrote yesterday, Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover took social media by storm and it’s shockwaves are still being felt. But, while there is much reason to celebrate, there’s also a fair amount of discussion that’s now taking place, a lot of which is necessary to pause, read, and take in.

I, like most of America, watched the Diane Sawyer 20/20 interview with Bruce Jenner, who has confirmed that he is going through a sexual reassignment process. I had many thoughts running through my head as I watched him tell his story. Here’s what I thought, in bulleted form.
There’s a lot of news out there, and even though I try to do my best to cover it all, there’s still so much that I can’t fit on my website simply because there aren’t enough hours in a day. So I’ll let you see the articles that have piqued my fancy this week and (maybe) every week.
Eddie Redmayne’s post-Oscars career glow is continuing with the announcement of his role as 1930s Danish artist Lili Elbe in The Danish Girl. In true Oscars fashion, he’s playing a role that will require a complete transformation of himself. We’ve already seen he can inhabit the life of Stephen Hawking, but now we’ll see him inhabit the life of Elbe (formerly named Einar Wegener), one of the first people to have sex-reassignment surgery. The above picture is the first look at Redmayne in character.
